Birthday Celebration Preparations

Marilyn and I are preparing for a Family Birthday Celebration! Jordan turned 13 on September 29, 2007! If you click on the second picture, you can see that David and Jordan are on their way up to the apartment. David is looking up (talking to Marilyn on the phone to let us know that they are on their way up) and Jordan is about 10 feet ahead of him carrying his baseball equipment. Get ready they are at the door.

These are all pictures of different areas of our Apartment Building during the Mid-Autumn Harvest. The Chinese Lights and Lanterns are beautiful. Tonight, October 1, will be the grand fireworks display, the final night of celebration. Back to School tomorrow!

The Fruit Stick Tasting

The fresh fruits here are wonderful.....at least I think so. Do you think Jordan would say the same?

The Queen of Bel-Air

Marilyn has just been too funny and full of herself lately. So I am sharing a few pictures of her work. Two of the pictures are in our Tower 5 lobby on a very formal couch. The initials B A, on the couch, of course stand for Bel-Air, or as we say, the "Burns Angel"! I think that she is excited for the Chinese Holiday that is upon us, Mid-Autumn Harvest and the schools are closed from September 26 through October 1. We will post some pictures soon of the celebrations of this Autumn Harvest.

Baseball News

We are happy to say..........Jordan made the team! The Tai Tam _______. We need to add a little something more to the team name, so we will take all the help or suggestions anyone has to offer. As you can see from the pictures, we brought a little Dilworth/Roby to the field. This is a Juniors team and consist of a few 12 year olds and the remainder are 13 and 14 years old. Maybe we will see you at the "Little League World's Series! Congratulations Jordan!

Hi everybody! As you may be able to see, I (Marilyn) have found myself a pet to hold me over till Christmas. No it is not a turtle but close, a baby tortoise. We have no idea what kind of tortoise he/she is or how old. The only thing we do know is that it is very, very young. I named him/her Sid. My dad likes to tease me and say How is Sidly doing? But I he knows it's name is Sid. As you can see to the picture to the left he/she loves lettuce. We call it a he so that is what I'll say instead of it or he/she. He is very nice and not aggressive. He has a precise agenda: a bath 2 times a week, on light on in his tank all day, another light on for 5 hrs, and a heat pad on 24 hrs/7 days a week. I forgot, you have to feed him twice a day also!

The "ROCKSTARS"

Marilyn's first rock climbing class was a success! She had a wonderful time and made some new friends. Her instructor's name is Andy and he is from Australia........we love to hear him speak. Go Marilyn!

Jordan's School & his "View"

This is the Hong Kong International Middle School Campus that Jordan attends. But see who is walking in front of the school........Miss Marilyn! She attends her rock climbing class at the middle school and attended her first class last Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007. The other picture is the view from behind the school, and Jordan loves to check out all of the boats and so does Dad.
