March 5 Marilyn's 11th Birthday

Eleven candles were lit, a wish was made and yes, we sang Happy Birthday to Marilyn! Stay tuned for the next pictures, there seemed to be a problem with a few of the candles.

Preparations for Marilyn's Birthday!

Mandy supervising Rebecca with the special cupcakes that Marilyn requested.
Strawberry cupcakes, with vanilla icing, chocolate sprinkles & a fresh raspberry on top! A few cupcakes had chocolate icing but they all were a hit.
Marilyn has been learning to play the Xylophone in her music class at school and loves it.
So - Happy Birthday Marilyn!

Come On In - The Water Is Warm

We have a great pool in our building and it is never crowded. Marilyn likes it because it is heated, so she went for a swim on a Sunday afternoon.

Happy Birthday & Kung Hei Fat Choi!

We celebrated David's Birthday on February 7, 2008. Kung Hei Fat Choi is Chinese for Happy Chinese New Year, which also fell on the 7th...........the year of the Rat. We witnessed a "Lion Dance", in a Chinese Celebration for the new year. It was very entertaining and quite different from our New Year Celebrations!

CPP, International Vendor Appreciation Awards Dinner

The Awards Dinner was held at the Hong Kong Football Club. The food was great, the people are fabulous, we (The Burns Family) were very lucky with the "lucky draws", and the entertainment across the hall was most exciting! Jimmy Buffet was performing and we took a few peeks. It was a fun evening!

The Bird Will Soon Fly!

The R/C helicopter kit that I got for my birthday is finally finished! It took a while, and I got pretty frustrated at times, but I would do it again in a heartbeat! My Dad helped me out tremendously, and I couldn't have done it without him! As you can see in the pictures, there are a lot of wires, and take it from me, it was a pain in the but the keep them organized. I still have to setup the gyroscope and do some things with the radio, but it is 96% ready to fly. I'm off for 9 days for Chinese New Year, so hopefully I can fly it before I have to go back to school.
